At the Duel of the Confederates, they get to know Switzerland not from a guidebook but hands-on: milking a cow, aiming the crossbow at Tell’s apple, rolling the cheese wheel and tasting chocolate. At the same time, the teams solve puzzles about Swiss history, culture and quirks – from William Tell to the card game Jass. Our tip: mix the teams and, ideally, include one local in each team. Fully looked after from A to Z
The «Duel of the Confederates» combines digital elements with interactive entertainment and physical activity stations that win everyone over with their typically Swiss charm. The activity stations are supervised by an experienced game master who briefs the groups beforehand. Depending on the amount of milk collected, the number of apples shot down or the time achieved on the cheese wheel course, teams earn Jass cards that count towards their overall score. Two bonus challenges complete the game: all teams pause briefly to win bonus cards. Each group follows an individually controlled sequence, so there are no overlaps – especially at the activity stations.
Winner’s certificate with photo for the winning team
In a festive setting after the game, the winning team receives the winner’s certificate with the winners’ photo – and goes down in Swiss history.

Augmented reality and four typical Swiss game stations
Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, reality and fiction merge into a unique gaming experience. On top of that come four typically Swiss game stations: cow milking, crossbow shooting, cheese wheel rolling and chocolate tasting.

Teams have 100 minutes to master the Duel of the Confederates. 12 exciting tasks await you; at the end comes the award ceremony, where the winning team receives the certificate with the winners’ photo.
Venue and language
At Predigerplatz in Zurich’s Old Town (8 minutes from Zurich main station) or at a location of your choice anywhere in Switzerland. The game is played in German and English; other languages on request.
Equipment
Each team receives an iPad, pen and paper. There is also a mysterious wooden box and a locked safe that has to be cracked during the game.
