How well do you really know Zurich? In the city quiz “Who wants to be the Zurich Lion?”, your teams answer 33 to 55 questions about the city – against the clock, across four difficulty levels and right in the thick of things: many tasks can only be solved if you look closely at your surroundings. And because only one team will be crowned the Zurich Lion, you are allowed to sabotage the rival teams along the way.

Whether it’s a team event with several hundred employees, a day out with friends or a school trip: “Who wants to be the Zurich Lion?” works for small groups just as well as for large groups of up to 1000 people. Teams start head-to-head and compete for victory from two teams upwards. The game is played on our tablets – no need for your own smartphones. Our experienced game masters welcome you and give the introduction at Predigerplatz; at the end comes the award ceremony with trophy presentation. A unique sightseeing experience for locals, newcomers and visitors from all over the world – as a team event in Zurich or a school trip.

How the Zurich city quiz works
The city quiz combines a classic city tour with an interactive knowledge game. Your teams answer 33 to 55 questions about Zurich, divided into four difficulty levels worth 1000 to 4000 points – you decide whether to play it safe or go for the big points with the hard questions. Every task runs on a countdown. Many questions can only be solved at the right spot by looking at your surroundings: how many centimetres is the diameter of the clock face? Which artist was not immortalised on the north façade? And because only one team will be crowned the Zurich Lion, you can sabotage the rival teams along the way. You’ll easily cover 5 to 6 kilometres and discover fascinating facts about the smallest metropolis in the world. When the countdown ends, all teams return to the starting point for the award ceremony.

How far do you walk?
Around 5 to 6 kilometres. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Do you need to know Zurich well?
No. You can find many answers right on the spot if you look closely. Thanks to the four difficulty levels, locals, newcomers and tourists all have a good chance.
How does the sabotage work?
Along the way, you can sabotage the rival teams and make life difficult for them. This keeps the excitement going until the very end – because only one team will be crowned the Zurich Lion.
How many people can take part?
From two teams up to 1000 people. For large groups, we provide the tablets – no need for your own smartphones.
Is the city quiz suitable for school classes?
Yes. The questions are graded by difficulty, and the class competes in teams. Recommended from lower secondary school (age 12+). For school classes, we offer the game at a flat rate of CHF 199.
How long does the game take and how much does it cost?
You choose between 90, 120 and 150 minutes: 33 questions in 90 minutes, 44 in 120 minutes and 55 in 150 minutes. The game costs from CHF 18 per person; for school classes we offer a flat rate of CHF 199.
What happens if it rains?
The game takes place in all weather. If it rains, we hand out umbrellas and ponchos.
