General Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by Liberari GmbH, Predigerplatz 22, 8001 Zurich (hereinafter «Outdoor Escape Games» or «we»). This includes in particular outdoor escape games, indoor escape games, team events, company events, school trips, children’s birthday parties and bachelor and bachelorette parties. Deviating agreements only apply if confirmed in writing, e.g. in a quote or booking confirmation.

2. Conclusion of contract

The contract is concluded upon online booking via our booking system or upon our written confirmation of an enquiry or quote. The person or company making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all participants in their group are aware of and comply with these terms and conditions.

3. Prices

The prices stated on the website or in the quote at the time of booking apply. They are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include statutory VAT. Additional services such as game masters outside Zurich, apéro, catering, transport or customised game content are charged separately.

4. Payment

Online bookings are paid at the time of booking by credit card or another available payment method. Companies, schools and organisations can book on invoice; invoices are payable within 30 days without deduction. Payment by credit card or TWINT is also possible on site.

5. Vouchers

Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issue and, depending on the voucher, can be redeemed for the respective game or for all standard games. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost vouchers will not be replaced.

6. Cancellation, rescheduling and number of participants

Cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made in writing by email to contact@outdoorescapegames.ch. The date of receipt by us is decisive. Deadlines are calculated in calendar days before the agreed start of the game. Percentages refer to the total price of the booking.

Events with up to 100 people (incl. online bookings)

  • up to 7 days before the event: free cancellation
  • 6 to 3 days before the event: 50% of the total price
  • from 48 hours before the event: 100% of the total price
  • no-show: 100% of the total price
  • The final number of participants must be confirmed in writing no later than 2 days before the event.

Large events with 100 or more people

  • up to 15 days before the event: free cancellation
  • 14 to 8 days before the event: 50% of the total price
  • from 7 days before the event: 100% of the total price
  • no-show: 100% of the total price
  • The final number of participants must be confirmed in writing no later than 5 days before the event.

Large events with 250 or more people

  • up to 21 days before the event: free cancellation
  • 20 to 15 days before the event: 50% of the total price
  • from 14 days before the event: 100% of the total price
  • no-show: 100% of the total price
  • The final number of participants must be confirmed in writing no later than 7 days before the event.

Number of participants and rescheduling

Once the deadline for the final number of participants has passed, at least the most recently confirmed number of people will be charged. Additional participants can be added subject to availability and will be charged extra. Rescheduling is treated as a cancellation and new booking unless we confirm otherwise in writing. Costs already incurred for additional services (e.g. apéro, catering, transport, boat hire, custom-made game material) will be charged in all cases.

7. Late arrival

Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start of the game. If you arrive late, the playing time may be shortened accordingly; there is no entitlement to a price reduction. If the group has not arrived more than 30 minutes after the agreed start time, this is considered a no-show.

8. Weather conditions and cancellation by Outdoor Escape Games

Our games take place in all weather conditions; if it rains, we provide umbrellas and ponchos. In extreme weather, we may offer the game as an indoor version. Cancellation by the customer due to weather is not free of charge unless an official severe weather warning (MeteoSwiss) has been issued for the game location; the cancellation terms set out in section 6 apply.

In the event of severe weather, official orders, force majeure or other circumstances that make it impossible to run the game safely, we may cancel or postpone the game. In this case, we will offer an alternative date or an indoor version, or refund any amounts already paid in full. Any further claims are excluded.

9. Conditions of participation

Participation is at your own risk. Children under 10 may only play when accompanied by an adult supervisor or as part of a supervised event (e.g. school class, children’s birthday party). The duty of supervision lies with the accompanying adults or the teacher. Persons who are heavily intoxicated or who endanger or harass other participants or third parties may be excluded from the game; in this case, the price will not be refunded.

10. Conduct in public spaces

The games take place in public spaces. Participants must observe traffic rules, show consideration for passers-by and residents, and must not enter private or cordoned-off areas. It is not necessary to run, climb or damage any objects in order to solve the game.

11. Game material and equipment

The game material and equipment provided – in particular iPads, gadgets, bags, boxes, safes, props and game stations – remain the property of Liberari GmbH or our partner company Challengebox (challengeboxgames.ch). They must be handled with care and returned in full after the game.

12. Customer liability

The person or company making the booking is fully liable for all damage of any kind caused intentionally or through gross negligence by themselves or by the participants in their group. This applies in particular to damage to, destruction of or loss of game material and equipment belonging to Liberari GmbH or to our partner company Challengebox. Costs for repair or replacement at current new value will be charged, as well as any consequential costs, e.g. for replacement material or the cancellation of subsequent games. Normal wear and tear resulting from proper use is excluded.

13. Liability of Outdoor Escape Games

We are liable within the scope of the statutory provisions for damage caused by us intentionally or through gross negligence. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This applies in particular to slight negligence, accidents during the game, lost or damaged personal belongings, and services provided by third parties (e.g. restaurants, boat hire, transport companies). Participants are responsible for having adequate accident and liability insurance.

14. Partner services

For combined offers, parts of the service are provided by partner businesses, e.g. indoor games by Challengebox, apéros, restaurants or boat hire for the «Ufenau Files». The terms and conditions of the respective partners also apply to these services.

15. Photos and media

Team photos are taken during the game and sent to the person who made the booking by email after the event. Photos are only published on our website or on social media with the consent of the people shown. Further information can be found in our privacy policy.

16. Copyright

Game concepts, puzzles, texts and game content are protected by copyright. It is not permitted to copy, publish or pass on solutions, content or game material to third parties.

17. Changes to these terms and conditions

We may amend these terms and conditions at any time. The version valid at the time of booking applies.

18. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide for another place of jurisdiction.
